Rhinoplasty
A surgical procedure that reshapes the nose to improve appearance, proportions, or breathing. Aesthetic and functional goals are often addressed together.
Rhinoplasty involves structural changes to the nasal bridge, tip, nostrils and overall facial proportions. The open technique uses a small incision across the columella; the closed approach keeps all incisions inside the nostrils.
The appropriate technique depends on nasal anatomy, patient expectations and surgeon expertise. Recovery typically begins with 7–10 days of splinting; final results are assessed at 12 months.
