How Our Pricing Works
We do not publish a flat "price list" because every case is different. This page transparently explains the nine factors that determine cost, what is included in a package, and how to get a personalised written quote.
Why there is no fixed price
Procedures like rhinoplasty, thyroidectomy and head-and-neck surgery each cover 20+ distinct clinical scenarios. A 2-hour primary rhinoplasty and a 5-hour revision are not in the same category — neither clinically nor in technical demand — so they cannot share the same price.
When a clinic publishes a "starting price" it typically covers the simplest, shortest case. It does not account for your anatomy, expectations, add-on needs, or international package contents. We do not play the "starting from" game; we deliver a personalised quote.
The 9 factors that drive the price
Every quote is calculated across the following nine dimensions:
Surgeon experience tier
Specialist, associate professor, full professor — each represents a different depth of experience. Prof. Dr. Hasan Ahmet Özdoğan is priced at professor-tier with 30+ years of clinical practice.
Surgical technique and complexity
Primary rhinoplasty, septorhinoplasty, revision rhinoplasty, ethnic rhinoplasty — each carries a different technical demand and operative time.
Anaesthesia type and duration
General anaesthesia vs sedation, operative time. Longer surgery → higher anaesthesia cost.
Hospital class
JCI-accredited A-class hospital vs B-class vs C-class medical centre. Hospital standard directly drives price.
Add-on procedures
Turbinate radiofrequency, chin work, alar base reduction — complementary procedures performed in the same session are separate line items.
Number of overnight stays
Day-case vs 1 night vs multi-night. Each night is an additional cost.
International patient package contents
Transfers, hotel, companion stay, interpreter, visa invitation letter — which of these are bundled in.
12-month follow-up programme
Splint removal, 1/3/6/12-month reviews, video consultations. Is tele-follow-up included?
Revision policy
For technical revision within 12 months, is the surgeon fee included? Are hospital and anaesthesia charges re-applied?
International patient package contents
The standard international patient package — transparently listed:

How to receive a personalised quote

The surgeon reviews your photos and prepares a preliminary technical plan. This step is free of charge.

Video consultation
20-30 minute video meeting with the surgeon — free of charge for international patients. 3D simulation option.

Written personalised quote
Within 24-48 hours, a line-itemised personalised written quote. Clear figure, clear currency, no hidden line items.

Reservation
If you proceed, a deposit (usually 20-30%) locks the date and travel planning begins.
Insurance and reimbursement
Aesthetic procedures (rhinoplasty, otoplasty) are not covered by Türkiye's SGK and are excluded by most private health insurance. Functional surgeries (septoplasty, FESS, thyroidectomy, the functional portion of septorhinoplasty) may be partly reimbursable — submit the official clinic invoice to your home-country insurer. Septorhinoplasty is mixed: aesthetic portion patient-paid, functional portion assessed case-by-case.
⚠ Watch out: the hidden cost of going low
The lowest-priced clinics on the market typically compromise on one of three values: surgeon experience tier, hospital standard, or post-operative follow-up quality. "Cheap primary + likely revision" usually totals more than a single experienced professor-tier primary. The right approach: the best price-to-experience ratio, not the lowest absolute number.
